A Source of Universal Satisfaction
…that every Fleming Yacht bears the distinctive look of the first boat. Of course, they are very different under the hood as we continue to develop and refine the designs as a result of feedback, experience and new technology. Our boats may have the classic look but, technically, they are always at the cutting edge in design and equipment. Our focus as a company has always been on the boats themselves and in working to make them the very best that we can. It is for this reason that we go to work every day and do what we do.
Building on the success of the well-established Fleming 55, Fleming Yachts introduced the magnificent Fleming 75 in 2000. Ten years later the Fleming 75 was redesigned with a longer hull, and longer keel to become the new Fleming 78. The added waterline length and reduced fuel consumption and increases range by 500 NM. The yacht has the same elegant but no-nonsense design philosophy as her smaller sisters, but her larger size permits her to travel further and provide her guests and crew with even more luxurious accommodations. She has three staterooms all en-suite with a separate crews quarters aft. Standard power is twin MAN V12-1550hp engines, and MAN V8-1000hp, & MAN i6-800hp engines are optional. She has a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots and, can achieve speeds in excess of 20 knots. She is equipped as standard with Aquadrive vibration isolation systems. She has twin 29KW Onan generators, centralized hydraulic system driving American Bowthruster stabilizers, bow thruster, stern thruster, and twin Maxwell windlasses. A custom central monitoring system with three 15″ color touchscreens displays all onboard systems, including tank levels, bilge & fire alarms as well as a fully controllable CCTV system.
The Fleming 65 was introduced in mid 2005 in response to a strong demand for an intermediate Fleming between the 55 and the 75. Her layout is very similar in concept to the 55 but the 65, being around 70% larger in displacement, offers much more interior and deck space than her smaller sibling. Fleming Yachts decided to retain hull number 1 (named Venture) to evaluate her design performance as a well-found cruising yacht as well as providing a test bed for new equipment. Since commissioning in 2005 Tony Fleming has cruised VENTURE more than 60,000 miles along the West Coast of North America from La Paz, Mexico to Juneau, Alaska, back down the Coast to the Sea of Cortez, to the Galapagos Islands, through the Panama Canal, up the East Coast into the Hudson River, Erie Canal and the St. Lawrence Seaway. Along the way Tony has provided the yard with valuable feedback and suggestions that have been incorporated in the 65 production line. Thanks to Tony’s extensive testing and evaluation of these refinements, several new items are now available on production models.
We are very proud that a panel of thirteen judges from the Internationally respected ‘Yachts’ magazine voted the Fleming 65 best yacht in her class, worldwide, for 2006. As of January 2019, 51 Fleming 65’s have been built at the highly regarded Tung Hwa yard in Taiwan, which has built every Fleming yacht since they were introduced in 1985.
On the 25th anniversary of the founding of the company, Fleming Yachts were proud to announce the introduction of the all-new Fleming 58.
After extensive research and input from existing Fleming owners, we identified the need for a boat to bridge the gap between the Fleming 55 and the 65. While retaining the Fleming classic lines, the 58 is an entirely new boat designed from the keel up. The naval architects selected to assist the in-house Fleming design team were Norman Wright and Sons in Brisbane, Australia who, with their special expertise in hull design and tank testing, have been designing semi-displacement passagemakers for more than 100 years.
